About Surveil.Watch

Surveil.watch is a tiny and fast Magic: The Gathering metagame viewer. Built for players who want quickly tournament data and archetype breakdowns.

ORIGIN // NAMING

Why the name "Surveil"?

First, I wanted a simple domain name without "MTG" in it, while still being related to Magic.

I've enjoyed the Dimir vibes and playstyle since I played it in Modern UB Faeries back in 2015 or so. Surveil felt like the obvious choice as a name: it combines a Dimir keyword with the literal act of surveilling tournament data, which I find cool.

AUTHOR // MAINTAINER

About Me

I'm Otman, a Magic player from France. I made Surveil for myself because I wanted a simple and fast tool to check what decks and cards are winning.

How the Data Works

Time Windows Metagame shares and card staples are aggregated over 7, 14, 28, and 84 days time windows to match weekly tournament cycles.
Unclassified Lists Rogue brews and unrecognized lists are not hidden. They are grouped under Others / Unclassified so metagame percentages always reflect the true total pool.
Card Data Card metadata, mana values, and high-resolution previews are powered by the Scryfall API.
Techs Used Porkbun, OVH, Ionos, BunnyNet, Debian, Nginx, SQLite, Node.js, Fastify, Eta.js.
